About Southern Construction Concepts

At Southern Construction Concepts, we do not just want to build your house, we want to build your home. We are a local custom home builder with high standards for quality and integrity serving the North Florida area. SCC was founded in 2021 by the Bishop Family. Gerald Bishop and his two sons (Garrett and Cody) partnered together to set the foundation for their construction company.

As a locally owned and operated business, our goal is to do quality work in an efficient manner. We build quality residential and commercial projects. Craftsmanship is very important, but so is the building process. Our estimating team puts a strong emphasis on providing accurate estimates, in a timely manner. This is one way our professionalism benefits you as a customer. If you have had a new home built before, you know how valuable this trait is. 

Prior to the start of their new venture, Gerald has been an owner/operator of two additional businesses in the construction industry for over the last 40 years. Garrett and Cody both pursued a business management degree at the University of North Florida. Growing up surrounded by their father’s hardworking efforts in the construction field, they wanted to continue his legacy. Since then, Garrett has obtained his real state license, and Cody has obtained his builder’s license. The Bishops have a strong background in custom-built construction with over a million square feet of residential and commercial operational experiences.
